We offer felting classes in our home studios as well as in other locations in the Detroit and Raleigh areas. We also love to do custom workshops in a location of your choice. Pictured is a sampling of classes we offer.

Needle felted landscape

This is an introductory workshop to create a simple 5×7 inch landscape. You will “paint” with wool and other natural fibers using a special felting needle. We encourage you to bring a simple inspiration photo and we will help you bring it to life. 2 hours.

introduction to
wet felting

In this beginning workshop you’ll learn how to create a piece of flat felt with wool and other natural fibers that will add interest and texture. Your piece can be cut for bookmarks, coasters or framed as is. 2.5 hours.

introduction to needle felting

In this workshop you will learn to use special barbed needles to create both 2D and 3D felted items. Materials include wool and other fibers for interest and texture. Possible projects include landscapes, garlands, animals, gnomes. 3 hours

Wet Felted Landscape

This is a more detailed workshop using wet felting as the base and then embellishing details with needle felting. Come with an inspirational landscape. You will learn several techniques used in this process. 4 hours.

Wet Felted vessel

You will learn the wet felting process, working with wool and other natural fibers over a flat resist to create a hollow vessel. You will choose the colors and embellishments to make one that is uniquely yours. It will be both beautiful and useful as a container for plants, small toys, yarn - you name it! Come with a color way in mind to inspire your creation.

Kids Introduction

We love introducing children to the ancient art of felting through stories and experience. They will explore the process of making wool felt with their hands and special tools. There are many possibilities and projects will be chosen based on the interests and ages of the children.
